I think I've confused things by sending Steve all sorts of different messages. Apologies, but bear with us and we'll get it sorted. Thanks to Steve for moving things forward. Hopefully discussion will flow. As for the Green Paper my comments on its contents, delivered to the gathering on November 16, should appear on the Blog pretty soon. There's no doubt that I am less than keen The Government paper has no vision or imagination. It desires young people's conformity and obedience. As for the Mayor of London, abolish the post. We are also looking at whether the Mayor of London and/or any other London wide bodies should have a role in supporting the delivery of a demand led, integrated youth service and
I appreciate any HONEST repsonse you can give,
I'm in the midst of tidying up the notes from my rant, which I'll then send to Steve. Have indicated to Steve that it might be useful to post the original calling notice for the November 16 gathering plus perhaps the agenda. Might help newcomers to get a feel for how this all started. Presently also putting together a few links. Finally I must thank everyone who attended on the 16th for their tolerance, friendliness and, of course, their criticism.
